Navigating the False Realities

Navigating the False Realities

I’m curious whether having a blog is good because a friend said he thinks the Future of the Web will be without a front end: just a prompt. So one could type: “Buy me two movie tickets for seats in the back.” Or “Show me Joel’s latest blog entry.”

Further, I could write any blog post using AI. But what I can do is what everyone else can do. What’s the advantage of visiting a blog post when you can generate it yourself?

I need something that can’t be generated, like a personal story. I may publish my dream journal, experiences, poems, or life lessons. Also, one of my key selling points is a unique style.

Watson blogged about Sherlock Holmes. A knowledgeable man. A man without much empathy. That’s a topic no one steals because their cases are an experience.

The closest man I can think of as a Sherlock is a friend. Another Sherlock could be the voice in my head. Or I am my own Sherlock. I’m a one-person army. I have cases and solve them, and I blog about them. I am Watson and Sherlock: My schizophrenia is a good topic that has many interesting events. My drug use, too. Last but not least, I will discuss my religious journey.

That means the topics are:

  • Drugs
  • Religion
  • Schizophrenia

All of the above can make you believe in things that are not real. Funny. All of the above can make you suffer. All of the above can make you extremely happy.

How they deceive you:

Drugs, religion, and schizophrenia all have the potential to distort your perception of reality. Drugs can create a false sense of euphoria or understanding, luring you into thinking they hold the key to happiness or enlightenment. Religion can promise eternal salvation, divine intervention, or a moral high ground that may not align with reality. Schizophrenia, on the other hand, can manifest as hallucinations or delusions that feel undeniably real, making it difficult to differentiate between fact and fiction. Each of these can weave narratives so compelling that it becomes hard to step back and question their validity.

How they harm you:

When taken to extremes, drugs can devastate both body and mind, leading to addiction, severe health issues, and damaged relationships. Religion, while often a source of solace, can be weaponized to justify violence, oppression, and blind obedience, sometimes resulting in personal or collective suffering. Schizophrenia, if untreated or poorly managed, can bring intense fear, paranoia, and a profound sense of isolation, making daily life deeply challenging. All three can alienate you from others—whether through physical dependency, rigid ideology, or distorted reality—hindering meaningful human connection.

eHow they do you good:

Drugs, when used responsibly or therapeutically, can alleviate pain, unlock creativity, and offer profound psychological insights. While they are often perceived as inherently addictive, research challenges this narrative. For example, the Skinner box experiments demonstrated that animals in isolated, stressful environments consumed drugs compulsively. However, Bruce Alexander’s “Rat Park” study revealed that in enriched social settings, drug use significantly decreased. This suggests addiction often stems from unfulfilled lives and isolation rather than the substances themselves. Religion can foster community, instill a sense of purpose, and offer emotional strength during life’s trials. Schizophrenia, despite its challenges, has been linked to unique ways of thinking and heightened creativity, inspiring artistic and intellectual breakthroughs. These elements—drugs, religion, and schizophrenia—can serve as catalysts for exploration, growth, and even joy. Yet, like a “cherry on top,” they should enhance life, not form its foundation.

I should have a good balance between the text I write and the text generated by AI. I need to decide whether to mark the generated text as generated. I will mark the generated passages since transparency is key. Grammarly doesn’t want me to use Markdown Syntax, so I need to implement it after inserting the text from Google Docs into Visual Studio code. Alternatively, I could make an app with two modes: one with markdown and frontmatter and one for being corrected with Grammarly—just an idea.

Beyond that, I need to notify the readers of my blog. I need a strategy for getting views. I will use Downbutton since it’s free for the first 100 users.

I need to find something that has creativity no AI can have. Something like this: https://youtube.com/shorts/nZMReyjrVbk?si=ecFkUb_xnZ-e0OrF It is AI-generated but has extraordinary creativity.

I want to use Obsidian to be more productive. I compared several apps, tools, and websites, and I honestly think nothing is better than Obsidian.
